A penetration test report describes ways to break into a system. Keep those findings hidden until the client is ready to share them.
Postdate shares a message and files through one link that opens at the time you choose. With Basic, Postdate holds the key until then; with Timelock, the key needs a scheduled drand release.
Send it before it opens
The report is ready, but the client wants critical fixes before wider distribution. You have to wait to send it. Sending it early could spread the findings before the company has fixed the problems.
Send the report link on schedule. Set it to open when you expect the fixes to be ready. The client has the link but cannot read the findings yet.
Choose a lock
Basic. The client may need more time if fixes run late. Basic gives you a private delete link. Use it to delete the report before it opens. Then create a new message for the later date.
Basic is free for messages that open within 7 days and are 1 MB or less. Later dates or larger uploads cost $3 USD, up to one year and 100 MB including encryption and file packaging. Postdate holds the key and promises not to read your content before opening. You get a private delete link that works until your Postdate expires. Compare the locks.

Common questions
How can I delay the report if fixes run late?
Choose Basic. You can delete the report before it opens if fixes need more time. This removes the key, so the old link cannot open the report.
Can the client extend the date themselves?
No. You receive the private delete link when you create the message. The client cannot postpone the release with the message link.
How large can the report be?
A paid Postdate accepts up to 100 MB, including text, screenshots, encryption, and file packaging. Basic is free for messages that open within seven days and are 1 MB or less.
