Credentials include passwords and other login details. Email them on Monday for a Friday handover, and they sit readable for four days.
Choose a lock
Standard. A handover may be cancelled, or a contractor may drop out. Standard gives you a private delete link. Use it before opening to delete the key and message. The link can never show the login details after that.
Standard is free for messages that open within 7 days and are 1 MB or less. Later dates or larger uploads cost $3 USD, up to one year and 100 MB including encryption and file packaging. Postdate holds the key and promises not to read your content before opening. You get a private delete link that works until your Postdate expires. Compare the locks.
Send it before it opens
A contractor, new team member or agency may need login details to take over. Sending them early leaves them readable for days before anyone needs them.
Set the login details to open when the handover starts. The link cannot show them before that time. Keep the link private. Anyone with it can read the details once it opens. Change the login details if you think someone else saw the link.

Common questions
What if the handover is cancelled?
Use your private delete link before the message opens. This deletes the key and message. The link can no longer show the login details.
How does this compare with sharing through a password manager?
A password manager may give access as soon as you share the details. Postdate keeps them hidden until the handover time you choose.
What if the link is intercepted?
Anyone with the link can read the login details once the handover starts. Send it through a service you trust. Delete the message immediately if someone else gets the link. Deleting removes the message and key from Postdate. Copies people already opened or saved remain.
