Share product launch files before they open

Your announcement and screenshots are ready. Share one link today and let everyone open the files at launch time, wherever they are.

Prepare the launch files Timelock: $3. No delete link.

Send it before it opens

You want to put a file link in your launch posts before release, without making the final package readable yet. A normal download link may expose the files as soon as you share it.

Send everyone the link in advance. The launch files stay hidden until the same opening time. Brief people separately on anything they need to prepare.

What people see

Postdate Timelock countdown before the launch files open.
Before launch. Recipients see the opening time. The announcement and filenames stay hidden.
The opened Postdate with an announcement PDF and product screenshots ZIP.
At launch. The note and both files open together. Recipients can download them individually or as one ZIP.

The same link works before and after launch. Anyone who has it can open the files after the scheduled time, until the link expires. These example screenshots use UTC. Your recipient sees the opening time in their own timezone.

Adding a calendar event downloads a file to import into your calendar. Set any reminder there. Postdate does not send opening notifications.

Choose a lock

Timelock. Timelock makes the link depend on the scheduled drand release to open. Choose it when the release time is settled. Choose Standard if you may need to delete the package.

Timelock costs $3 USD per Postdate. This covers opening dates within one year and 100 MB including encryption and file packaging. Opening depends on drand and Postdate being available, and on the encryption remaining secure. Senders can keep original copies. Postdates can still expire or be removed for abuse. You see the price before you create the link. Read about Timelock.

Limits

Standard is free for launch messages that open within 7 days and are 1 MB or less. Timelock, later dates, or more than 1 MB cost $3 once. You can choose a date up to a year away. Your text and up to 10 files must fit within 100 MB after encryption and packaging. Timelock encrypts the key for a future drand release.

Compare Postdate with scheduled email

A scheduled email is sent later. A Postdate link can be shared now, with the same opening time for every reader. Postdate does not send the link or an opening notification for you. It shows when the Postdate was created.

Common questions

Does one link work for press, partners, and staff?

Yes, for the public release package. Send a separate briefing to anyone who needs to review the files or prepare coverage before launch.

What if we delay the launch?

A Timelock message will still open at the original time. Choose Standard if the date might change. You can delete it before opening and share a new link for the later date.

Can I include video and images?

Yes. A paid Postdate accepts up to 100 MB, including encryption and file packaging. All the text and files open together.
